Reservation & Cancellation Policies
The cottages have no on site office. It is imperative that you contact us via email or phone at least 24 hours prior to your reserved date to provide us with an estimated arrival time. Management can then give you information on how to obtain the key once you arrive.
No debit cards. We accept most major credit cards, Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover.
For new or unknown guests as well as large groups we will place a $200 to $500. hold on your credit card for a security deposit. The hold automatically releases in 7 to 10 days or after management has done a check of the property. Any damages will be taken out of that hold amount. If damages are beyond the hold amount you are responsible!
We ask our guests to leave the kitchen and barbeque areas as they found them for no additional charges to apply. The laundering of the towels and linens will be included in the rental cost. Towels that have been damaged due to using them for other than normal bathing will be replaced as needed if soiled with stains.
We do ask that you leave the rentals looking as you found them in order for no extra charges to be applied. Other areas of additional charge would be excessive trash, causing a disturbance, smoking in the rooms, more guests that allowed.
The limited number of guests must be strictly enforced to assure the comfort of your stay. Management is not responsible for lost or damaged articles during the course of your stay. Daily housekeeping is available upon request at an extra charge but otherwise is not a part of your rental fee.
Ten full days prior to your reserved date your credit card will be charged the full amount for your cottage rental. This is non-refundable if you cancel. However, if for any reason you need to cancel, management will do their best to re-book the cottage. If successful we will refund all but the $75. booking fee or the difference of the new booking rate, whichever applies. Upon cancelation prior to ten days of reservation date, management will send you a receipt of cancellation request with details of your dates and refund (if applicable) Please do not cancel via email. You need to be sure that the management has indeed canceled your reservation. Do not depend on email alone to cancel a reservation!
If in the event management is not able to re book your cottage for the reserved time you are still responsible for the full amount of the booking
Typically management is able to re-book if given plenty of time to do so.
Last minute (24 hours or less) is always subject to the full amount.
Sierra Gateway Cottages does not cancel booking reservations due to weather conditions. We have no control over the weather. All reservation commitments must be honored regardless the weather. However we do reserve the right to make changes due to any circumstances beyond our control.
Sierra Gateway Cottages must enforce a strict cancellation policy considering that we incur substantial expense just in daily operations.
Your reserved stay will not be considered confirmed until you have agreed to these terms. A copy of the agreement will be kept with your booking transaction to show that you have agreed to the above terms.
